Our Induction & Development Programmes
As part of our ‘Nurture to Grow’ value it is important to us that as a new team member you are welcomed to our company and given all of the training and tools needed to help you settle into your new role. Upon starting with the business, you are invited to our ‘welcome to Alpha LSG’ induction programme whereby you will brought up to speed on key facts and figures about the company, an overview of what we do and how the different processes and teams all fit together. We will introduce you to some of the key names in our organisation, our customer base, specific local information about the unit/location you work in, employment information, our communicating framework, company values and an overview of our customer service ethos and approach.
Following our welcome to AlphaLSG company induction, new team members are trained in key core topics such as Health and Safety, Manual Handling, Fire Awareness, Basic Food Safety, Basic Security and Halal Familiarisation. ‘On the job’ induction and role training is then provided by your line manager and experienced colleagues during your probationary period; and you’ll have a review meeting with your line manager to ensure performance and training is on track and that you’re being looked after and supported. For certain roles we provide highly specialised training for example our drivers in service delivery who are provided with the support from Day 1 to enable them to perform their critical customer facing role.
We also make sure you’re training is up to date with annual and bi-annual refresher training in the core compliance topics to ensure your knowledge is regularly refreshed.
You could be working in Food Production, Equipment packing, Bond or Warehousing and will play a key part in our effective supply chain. Your attention to detail and care over complying with customer requirements are what underpins the performance and high standards we deliver to our customer.
Aircraft Loaders and Drivers
Role outline – Responsible for the ‘final mile’ delivery you are the last point of contact with the airline customer as you ensure the right products are put in the right place on board the aircraft. Interacting with the crew to check that service standards have been achieved prior to departure, delivering a customer orientated focus in everything you do.
A challenging and varied role that underpins the company values based on your behaviours. This is about ensuring that there are good relationships internally and externally to allow the operation to run smoothly.
Culinary Excellence – Chefs
Our Chefs have a fantastic range of culinary expertise across the UK and have the whole range of chef roles from Development and Head chefs to Commis Chef and every chef role in between! In our LHR Premium Kitchen alone we have over 40 different cuisine specialities.
Underpinned by the team within our dynamic logistics centre, Inflight retail is about delivering an intuitive service to our customer based on retail trends and sales performance. This is a growing area of our business with specialist roles to support crew sales, customer service and retail.
We offer the chance to work in a wide and exciting range of management and business support functions, primarily based at our two largest sites at Heathrow and Manchester.
